A total of 65 teams applied to participate in the competition. Based on their portfolios, the jury selected 11 competition participants, who prepared a design concept for the new urban block for Phase 1 of the competition. Following the second competition workshop, the number of competing teams was reduced to five. These teams developed their final competition proposals in Phase 2 of the competition
As part of the public consultation held in June, anyone could submit comments on any of the five proposals prepared by the teams shortlisted for Phase 2 of the competition.
All comments received through the public consultation will be summarised and provided to the competition jury before its final meeting, at which it will select the competition winner.
